I've just crawled back into my bedroom after a very brief, but entertaining experience as it relates to DSD - and I'm happy to say it's a sound much like some have stated here as having a very liquid type of texture to its sound that's more akin to vinyl then anything I've owned/heard short of a $6.500 turntable with all the fixings. :thmbsp: This thread is wonderful stuff!! Maybe then convert to DSD.lots to learn, lots to learn but I'm confident I'll get there. It will be very interesting to hear the comparison. Sounds a little bright compared to to my audio memory of this recording. I know this album very well and have a copy of the remastered Redbook CD and the vinyl version. I chose 24/192 initially to test my gear and see if it is working, yep it is. Recording Equipment: Revox A77 and two Pearl TC4 microphones

I know this file is an upsampled version of the original, a wonderful album and recording.

Lots more experimenting to do yet because I have no idea if I like this or not.
